Today, Morpheus is bringing the ‘chanson’ back to life – but in contemporary form. His debut single ‘Morphosis’ is out now.

The last 2 years, Amsterdam-based artist Morpheus has worked on finding his sound and words to tell his story through his captivating voice. After the unexpected passing of his mother, Morpheus decided to transform this impactful experience into power and wisdom. Inspired by Charles Aznavour’s chansons and Kate Bush’ imaginative songwriting, Morpheus found the right words to put his experience on paper, and got to record his ideas with co-writers Isa Azier and Will Knox in ‘Morphosis’.
Morpheus: “The loss of my mother showed me the importance of celebrating life and creating a magical world to escape in – especially when times are darker. Morphosis shows that every painful experience offers an opportunity to transform and turn sorrow into growth.”
The debut single is accompanied with an utterly aesthetic music video, emphasizing the mystical and dreamy world Morpheus is living in. Directed by Jip Mus, who is known for his work for fashion houses Iris van Herpen and Cartier.
