Another bit of Ioana’s upcoming album Mean Time revealed, a murder story this time! Unlike her previous releases Anxiety and Painkillers, The Wife is a little slower but heavy nonetheless. Inspired by contemporary poems and crime stories, Ioana dives into describing a murder scene. With the engulfing instrumentals that create a wall of sound accompanied by cold, softly spoken vocals, reminiscent of the Thick Skin era, Ioana builds a raw, explosive yet melancholic doom track.
