SUPERSTAR, the second single from our forthcoming album We Can’t Be Wrong, will be released on Wednesday, June 26. The track is a tribute to dub legend Lee Perry. In addition to his inimitable genius, we would especially like to honor him here, because he is the namesake of our duo. Those who know the ‘Superstar of Dub’ better will not be surprised that I BELIEVE IN MY MESS was one of his favorite credos.
SUPERSTAR is not only an In Memoriam, but it is also an optimistic song. It evolves from a dubbie, reggae-like intro to cheerful and energetic dance music. “Everything is in that record. I love that!”, said BBC’s Michael Bradley about the previous single NOT THE FIRST. Perhaps this applies even more to this new single.
