The four piece indie rock Groningse act the Soy Boys is doing justice to the infamous insulting name with the release of their first double single “Everything A Little Bit” that hit all the streaming services on November 24th, 2023.
The Soy Boys journey through the broad emotional spectrum of a soy boy challenges the pejorative attitude towards the term as they concoct a catchy blend of soft synths and punchy drums in “Everything A Little Bit”. Like an alter ego of the opening track, “Only A Weekend Though” extends the passing time of a summery bittersweet nostalgia, only to melt the seconds into a psychedelic trip that the track has been building up to in the total of over six minutes.
