The new CODA is the second non-album single that the band recorded after the debut Common Gray (2021) and marks a departure from their established paths. It is a gradually building composition, which is built more on dynamics, tension and atmosphere than traditional songwriting, which was manifested in the previous work. The melodiousness of Small Town Life is now being replaced by a numb commentary on survival in a tired and stagnant society, whose promised land has turned into a dump of its own self-delusions, illusions, and unfulfilled dreams. Hope does not come, but so far no one sees the sky burning. The single was recorded in the PULP studio in Bratislava, where the band’s frontman Jakub Spiszak works, Alexander Vatagin took care of the mastering.
