Melqui is happy to share their new release ‘Enamore’ via Bloomer Records

‘Enamore’ is a code-switching lovesong, moving effortlessly between English to Spanish over a Latin rhythm. Singer-songwriter Lautaro Hochman expresses newfound love the way he can best: stripped-down, intricate, turning the mundane into a poignant experience.

Melqui is an international band, with members heralding from Argentina, the Netherlands, Spain, the U.S., and Israel. This international band is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and is already making its mark- having played their first release show at Paradiso and been selected for Amsterdam Popprijs 2023.

Pulling inspiration from Lautaro’s Latin roots, Melqui is the quintessential soft indie band for anyone looking to expand their horizons. Melqui recently was the support act for Erlend Oye (of Kings Of Convenience) & La Comitiva on their Dutch Tour and is a perfect sound match for those who enjoy indie pop that draws from Latin influence.

Their last single “Ojos Verdes” received airplay in NPO 2 Soul and Jazz, featured in Paradiso’s Summer Tips, and was followed with shows at Cinetol, De Nieuw Anita (Amsterdam), and Paard Cafe (Den Haag). Melqui’s curated sound and exceptional performance style has the band growing in popularity and booking a number of shows, with an upcoming performance at the day program of Le Guess Who? 2023.
