Apparently bastard sons of Two Door Cinema Club/Foals, and previously supporting Glass Caves, alt indie 4-piece Luna Blue (Brighton, UK) dominated 2020/21 despite lockdown, playing virtual stages with APRE, Red Rum Club & Lauran Hibberd, and supported by Spotify Discover Weekly, BBC Introducing, DJ Louise Schofield, Indie Central Music & MAS Records: indie anthems Dance With Your Heart and Away With You both scored BBC Introducing Track of the Day.
2021 found the band on the main stage with McFly, Ash, Sleeper & Sarpa Salpa @ AmpRocks, and headlining Brighton’s Komedia. 2021 releases How Does It Feel – premiered by Indie Central Music (music video premiered by Clout); Heavens Gates & Run To Tomorrow all landed radio/online playlists, blogs and reviews and were selected for the Nationwide Co-op Edit playlist (Hattie Pearson).
2022 kicks off with a live fundraiser for LB’s adopted charity Animals Asia @ Exeter Cavern, another Brighton Komedia gig with DECO and fresh tracks with producer (& Fickle Friends band member) Jack Wilson. Three new releases this year will be showcased on a UK tour.
JUNE 2021 – INSPIRATION FOR LOU LOU …
Lou Lou is a metaphor, the image of a perfect person who enters our lives for a split second, then is gone. A beautiful soul who fills the room and accepts us for what we are, accepts all our flaws.
I feel safe in this presence, I feel honest. I remember the air hadn’t smelled so warm in a while … listening to Whitney to enhance the moment, rather than simply admire. Lou Lou handed me a moment to free my soul from an aching heart, a heart shelved by my industrially working mind …
It wasn’t an escape, it was really just lifting the latch and freeing what had always been there …
