Alternative Rocks best kept secret strikes again
So far the best kept secret on all platforms is Dutch Indie rockband Sundown Escape. Inspired by the sounds of Qotsa, Foo Fighters and Radiohead, more recent influences include Muse and Baroness.
Coming up for Air belongs in the hard hitting category. It’s an energetic banger about breaking out of self inflicted angst.
The lyrics reflect on a personal dark period and the need for escape. As with entries in a diary, Harke finds writing songs about the gloomier side of things is the natural thing to do. Most of the inspiration comes from struggle, frustration and sadness. There’s nothing more satisfying than turning that into works of art.
