After two succesful singles and dissappearing from the scene for over a year, George Dylan makes a stunning return with Sick & Tired

Having played support slots for artists like Tom Walker with just two singles under his sleeve, George Dylan is back, more intimate than ever, with his new single, Sick & Tired. The 22-years-old songwriter took the Folk/indie-pop sound from his first singles and, together with his band, transformed it into a more modern indie-melancholic rock sound with a dynamic twist. Reminding us of artists like The National, Ben Howard & Dermot Kennedy.

The song tackles the subject of mental illness and talks about a dark period in Dylan’s life where he was battling with anxiety and feelings of depression. The pandemic resulted in a spike of mental issues, making this a relatable subject for a lot of people in isolation.

The opening of the song feels like a cry for help can be heard in the vocals, combined with a delicate piano sequence. But as soon as the first chorus hits, the song breaks out of his shell. Sick & Tired finds a perfect balance between a more alternative sound and that of more current pop songs.
